Hi everyone I'm sorry there has been such a gap between posts, it's not that I haven't been making cards I have but adding them to my blog has just been too much.
However i'm making amends now so there are Four below to have a look at.
The first is a birthday card for one of my parchment card friends and also SCS challenge, the next is a birthday card for one of my daughters and was inspired from a card in Craft Stamper (have I mentioned its my fav mag!!) the second is a SCS challeng a type of Baggello piecing also a lot like Siminel patchwork (have no idea how to spell either of those two but you get the drift) The third or first depending on how you are looking at them was great fun and a wonderful way to use your boarder punches.
All cards are in my SCS gallery with more details.

Copic OZ challenge #6 \"It\'s Summertime\"

Hi everyone this is a card made with the Copic frog, isn't he cute! I'm going to submit him for the "It's Summertime" challenge even though I have already put one in. You can get the frog from the Copic Facebook site and I really want to upload him to Facebook but have no idea how??
The frog caught my eye first then while I was out shopping last week (we could still shop last week, this week a lot of the shops and homes are under water) the DP caught my eye at something silly like 30 cents a sheet and the rest is history so they say.
WHAT HAVE I USED
I have used Split Coast Stampers SC313 challenge as the layout. I embosed the solid colour with a Cuttlebug folder the one with the grass / reeds and bird. I butted this up against the DP card and mounted both onto some silver card.
I downloaded the frog image (in black outline) then using a text box and a 2 peas font added "Lazy Days Of Summer" in orange.
I then printed the image and saying onto card stock. Once the frog was coloured I cut out around some of the frog and then went round the cutout edges with my black 100 copic. I layered this onto some green card that I had punched a boarder onto. I then threaded some ribbon from the $2.00 shop through the top holes of the boarder and added rhinestones, mounted this to the existing card, went over the words with orange Spica pen and vola here it is.
CARD: SU Daffadil Delight, Wild Wasabi, DP $2.00 store paper.
INK: Wild Wasabi (around edge of saying)
STAMPS: Digi art from Copic Facebook, computer generated words using 2 Peas font.
COPIC MARKERS:
Frog Body;
YG00, YG03, YG17, YG67
Inside Mouth; E02, E04, YG17, YG67
Tongue; E02, E04
Eyes; C00, B0000, B00

Desley's Birthday Card

This is a birthday card for my best friend who just happens to like purple. The card was inspired from two cards that were made on different days for the Magnolia Blog, Advent Calendar, with each card representing a day or shutter. The colour scheme is from one card and the sketch layout is loosly based on another. There were some truly beautiful cards and was well worth following.
There is a close up image of the card in my SCS gallery link below. Thanks for stopping by to look.

Copic OZ challenge

Hi everyone this is my submition for the Copic OZ challenge. I almost ran out of time but I'm really happy with the result, still room for improvement of course, the photo dosen't really do it justice.
What have I used
The image is a Shirley Wilson image that I sourced from one of her books for folk art. Shirley does some wonderful art work. I had to resize the art work so that I could use it on a card but that was all, so I guess it is the same as digi stamps.
Card:SU Whisper White, Crushed Concord, Pumpkin Pie, and Elegant Eggplant
Ink: SU Crushed Concord, Elegant Eggplant
Stamps: As mentioned above a Shirley Wilson image sourced from her book"PS I Love You" book one by Jean Myers and Shirley Wilson circa 1994
Copic Markers: Just a quick note to tell you how I arrive at my colour combinations. First I print or stamp the image on an A4 sheet of either SU Whisper White or Express It paper and heat set the image if I have printed it. I then grab my Copic colour chart and look to see what colours I need to blend well. I do swatches down the side of the A4 paper and when I have a combination I'm happy with I write the numbers of the markers over the top. It took two goes for the pumpkins and three swatches for the leaves.
Pumpkins;Y21, Y38, YR07, YR04 + E57 for twig arms
Leaves; G85, YG11, YG63, YG91, E05. E95
Hat; C01, C05, C07, C09 + E04 to add a little colour to the hat band.
Embelishments: Kaiser rhinestones orange and black, black and white gingham ribbon (from Crazy Clarks)
Accessories: Cuttlebug embossing folder pumpkins, Spellbinders Boardabuilities die.
Hope this has inspired you to grab your Copic Markers and have a go.
You can get a better view of the card on my SCS gallery, link below.

Heidi Among the Flowers

This is the challenge for SCS Clean and Simple CAS79 and also for Anya Ink  for this week.
With Anya Ink we had to use three flowers two buttons and a bow.
I think I've managed that.
You may have noticed that there seems to be an extra flower near Heidi's boot. I dropped the stamp just as I was positoning it but had already done the greating which is heat embossed over multi coloured stamping using my copics and alcohol handwash to extend the drying time (see home page for more details on this technique), so didn't want to start all over again. The extra flower is hiding a mess. I decided a flower was better than a butterfly.
My appologise to CC designs.
I've really enjoyed doing this card. Great fun.
Hope you have a go.

This the second of two cards I made for the SCS sketch challenge I got a little carried away. I've used my much loved copic markers and then gone around the image with SU going grey and a Tim Holtz applicator and sponge. Worked really well. I was trying to give the impression of the side of a ship. The first set of waves are stuck straight onto the cuttlebuged Bashful Blue card then the image is stuck to that. The second and third set of waves are first stuck together slightly offsetting them then they are mounted over the top of the first set of waves and the image with SU Dimensionals. A fairly quick card to do and a lot of fun. Enjoy your play, Marg
