Stampin Up open day at Kirri's

This post and the card below leads on from the previous post, the card was the colour challenge Kirri devised for us all to do. Kirri gave us all some pieces of of card stock all from the new colour range for 2012 -2014 and a piece of the DP out of the new catalogue as well. Kirri had a number of new stamp sets for us to use and some ribbon. The card below is what I came up with in a very short period of time. I had to leave early as we were having to do the grocery shopping. The greeting is a ring in from the SU "Happiest Birthday Wishes" set.
The Stampin Up year is going to be shorter this year as it will run from September 1st 2012 to June 30th 2013. This is to bring Australia in line with America so that we will have our new catalogue releases at the same time.
If you would like a catalogue or any of the wonderful Stampin Up product you can contact Kirri on 0412 986 500
Cheers

Below is a card that my girlfriend and I did one Friday after noon last month. The idea came from my favorit craft magazine "Craft Stamper" May addition.
You take a sheet of white card and strategically place blocks of colour on the card, you then cut circles of masking film and place over the areas you want to show through, you then cover the whole of the card with black Gesso, once dry you peel off the masking and there you have your colour. I stamped the bird image onto the colour before I did the Gesso.
The swirls and saying are done with SU craft Whisper White and the interesting thing here is that the craft ink is reflecting the colours beneith the gesso, it's most noticable on the little swirl in the middle at the top.
The greeting is a Unity stamp the circles in the colour areas are different size caps found in the kitchen and our craft kits.
Hope you have a go at this one it is great fun if not a little messy.
Thanks for stopping by

Hi this card was ment to be another entry into this months Copic OZ challenge but my lap top started to play up and by the time I got the main computer booted up the challenge had closed. We were given a number of colours to use and I have tried to us most of them. I already had two entries in but at that stage I didn't have any of the 2011 colour releases so my palet was limited.
I went to the Paper Craft Festival with a friend on the weekend and bought the 2011 colours. To day I had every intention of going to work but had to swap my RDO and had a day off. I should have thought about doing the card erlier but never mind my grandson has a nice card to give to his mother now.
Copic markers used are:
Skin; E0000,E00,E11, R20
Hair; YR20, YR24, E97, E99
Shirt; G40,G82,G85
Collor and cuffs:BG93, BG96, BG99
Pants; BG53, BG45, BG49
Seat; E81, Y26, E87
Balloon; R30, R32, R43, R46, R59
The colours bold and underlined are the colours we were suposed to use.
Papers are all Stampin Up
Inks are Memento Cocoa Brown and SU Terquois
The Image is Luka from La-La-Land and he is a digi.
I masked him and stamped the seat over the top. The stamp is a flower soft stamp.

The card is basic peacing with Magnolia Doo Hicky Leaves and hearts (very cute)
The card stock  is all Stampin Up and the DP is SU Tall Tails.
I got the stamp from Unity Stamps a couple of weeks ago and have been dieing to use it ever since. It's called Happiness Is...
The copic colours I have used for my little girl on a swing are:
Skin = R20, E0000, E00, E11.
Hair = Y00, Y21, y17.
Pants = R43, R46, R59.
Shoes / Swing = YR20, YR21, YR24.
Shirt = YG11, YG17, YG23,
I flooded the areas I was working on with my "0" blender pen first then started to apply the colour.
I also used lemon Spica pen on her hair, mint Spica pen on her shirt and pink Spica pen on the action lines under the swing.
The clouds are Spellbinders Nestabilitys Lables 6 stamped with Versa Mark water mark stamp pad and then covered in fine glitter.
Thanks for looking, feel free to CASE

This is a card that I did for my girlfriend for Christmas, who loves purple. It uses the salt resist technique I have used in Three Wise Men, I heat embossed the Christmas trees first with clear embossing powder then sprayed the card applied the ink sprayed the card again with the mini mister added the rock salt and sprayed again. It seems like a lot of water but you get better effects, it just takes a long time to dry. SCS gallery for more details:

Hi everyone well it's late and I really should be gong to bed but wanted to upload this first.
Had fun doing this but am still not sure if I like it or not. Do you have that problem?
All in all there are four challenges represented in this card CC321~ Colour Challenge, TLC297 ~ Embedded Image,
TLC320 ~ Punched Circle Edge, and  TLC324 ~ Colored Embossing.
 Of all of these challenges I found the last one coloured embossing the hardest having six goes before I was halfway happy with what I got. The problem was that the colour kept beading on the plastic embossing mat.
I love the embedded image effect and of course punch circle edge is one of my favorits.
 This card was CASED from markie's mom aka Faith, a direct link to her card below and also a link to her blog, well worth a look.

Hi everyone I'm sorry there has been such a gap between posts, it's not that I haven't been making cards I have but adding them to my blog has just been too much.
However i'm making amends now so there are Four below to have a look at.
The first is a birthday card for one of my parchment card friends and also SCS challenge, the next is a birthday card for one of my daughters and was inspired from a card in Craft Stamper (have I mentioned its my fav mag!!) the second is a SCS challeng a type of Baggello piecing also a lot like Siminel patchwork (have no idea how to spell either of those two but you get the drift) The third or first depending on how you are looking at them was great fun and a wonderful way to use your boarder punches.
All cards are in my SCS gallery with more details.
