This card has been created for the Clean and Simple challenge over on SCS found HERE Celebrate the Daffodil.
I knew I had a daffodil stamp, in fact I had two but the first one was in a pot and not what wanted.
I have upwards of 4000 Stampin Up stamps and 7000 stamps all together, now that I'm retired I am determined to catalogue all of them, in the mean time I have to rely on old SU catalogues and go through each one until I find the stamp set I want to use, this is because I can't remember the name of all the sets, very frustrating but on the other hand I am blessed.
This card is also for The Daily Marker 30 Day colouring challenge as well as .....
The idea that popped into my head fitted the Mojo Monday challenge perfectly.
It is a very simple card with really only one layer and some simple colouring and blending and of cause the indispensable heat embossing and over stamping lol.
This card would make a perfect VSN card as it is quite quick. Don't forget that there is an up coming VSN (virtual stamp night) over at SCS in early March found HERE , sadly I will be away so wont be able to play ( well it's not that sad, we will be overseas looking at all sorts of things to inspire lol.)
Enough of this prattle, I am sure you would like to know how I achieved what I did .
The next step was to stamp the main image onto some blending paper. This was achieved by using the main daffodil flower from the SU Beautiful Life set, stamping once then masking and stamping again, masking then stamping the stem.
Once this was done I cut the image out using the Spellbinder Nesties small circles. Once this was done I was able to workout where the other flower images were to go.
The greeting is stamped in SU Certainly Celery then over stamped and heat embossed with clear embossing power as usual lol.
The greeting is mounted with SU Dimensionals and the image in the circle is then double mounted with the dimensionals, that is to say dimensionals are put down and then a second set are put straight on top to give what ever you are mounting extra height. I love the SU Dimensionals for this reason as you can achieve any amount of height or lift this way.
The insert is very simple with some of the secondary flowers stamped across the bottom and very loosely coloured, the insert is a very pale green but doesn't really show in the photo.
Stamps: SU "Beautiful Life" , "You Are Loved" and "Forever In My heart"
Papers: X-Press It Blending Card, pale green insert paper.
