The Split Coast Stampers color challenge for this week was hosted by Karen Barber who chose these yummy colors for us to play with.

The colors are Stampin Up colors but you don't have to have that particular brand any colors that are similar can be used.

The colors are;
Watermelon Wonder ( a corally pink)
Lost Lagoon ( a smoky blue / teal)
Old Olive ( a green the color of olives)

For the inside of the card I placed some insert paper and sponged some of the ink used for the card with a stencil made from one of the heart dies on the front of the card then drew around this, very simple but effective.

The card itself is a single layer hence the reason for submitting it to the CAS challenge.

I started by dropping ink directly from an ink refill bottle however this was too dark I then watered the ink down to one drop to 1/4 cup water which worked fine. I wasn't really happy with the effect on this card but it has since grown on me and I don't mind it so much now.

The sentiment on the front has been double stamped first with SU Watermelon Wonder then  with Versa Mark watermark and heat embossed. I moved the ink around with a straw.
