The inspiration was to be drawn from the Chines Modern Museum and I chose a painting by Ren Bonian circa mid 1800's (see below)
This is a very quick and easy card.
First I stamped images from the Stampin Up stamp set "Asian Artistry" including the quote from the same set with SU Smokey Slate ink on SU So Saffron card stock, then I dry embossed this with a Sizzix embossing folder that had sun bursts or sun rays (not sure of the name)
I lightly sponged the embossing from right to left in the one direction with gold ink.
I ran some gold cord across the bottom of the card for added interest and then attached the topper to the other layers.
Finally I cut a narrow strip of SU So Saffron and stamped this with one of the stamps used on the front, I joined some X-Press It blending paper to this strip to fit onto a piece of SU Soft Sky card stock that I then attached to the inside of the card creating an area to stamp or write a greeting.
